Two Dog Community
You're welcome to come to classes at Two Dog and enjoy the benefits you gain from them. You're also invited to become part of the greater Two Dog community. Students mingle before and after class; people exchange information about mutual skills, local resources and favorite practices. Seasonal celebrations, special events and guest appearances provide the kernel and location for community gatherings. Our neighborhood, Lake City, has offered fertile and supportive ground for the Two Dog community over the years. We welcome connections of all kinds with our neighbors.
A Hot Meal
This last month, Two Doggers have been providing a big pot of warm soup for lunch on Thursdays for the residents of the Lake City Winter Homeless Shelter. We are looking for more volunteers who would like to make soup. If you're interested, email Annie.
Thank you, Two Dog students and teachers, for your generosity in 2011. Through concerts, benefit classes, a raffle and food drives, we raised over two thousand dollars for our scholarship fund, several hundred pounds of food for the foodbank, and prepared many awesome BIG meals for local homeless communities.
Last December, Two Dog was invited by the Lake City Christian Church's Pastor Mary Olney-Loyd, who takes yoga classes with Wendy, to provide a hot dinner for a group of 15 homeless moms and kids.
Thanks to all who donate cash, pots & pans, their kitchens, time and enthusiasm to make such dinners possible. Special thanks to Ree Fanthom for pulling it all together.

Lake City
There is a growing community pulse in Lake City that we at Two Dog have witnessed--and participated in--this over the last two decades. Annie Stocker, studio owner, has lived in Lake City since 1986 and feels a warm kinship with the ever-emerging community. Two Dog students bump into each other at Lake City restaurants, the Lake City Farmer's Market, the local hardware store, post office, parks and restaurants. More and more people now make Lake City their permanent home and community within which to grow their families and friendships. Two Dog is proud to be a part of the growth of this healthy, thriving community.

Two qualities of life that we sometimes give low priority to are surrounding ourselves with
beauty and developing community. These are being practiced at Two Dog Yoga studio. The gorgeous
unfolding lotus mural secures the room where yoga, qigong, singing, dancing, eating, talking
and more are offered with open arms to the Lake City neighborhood.
