Jen Helfer's heart-inspired and breath-infused Yoga classes encourage students to cultivate their own inner wisdom, curiosity, and creativity. By seeing our whole being with kind, patient, and receptive eyes— these practices of Yoga become a welcoming, sustainable, and abundant landscape where we can befriend our bodies, explore, learn, and grow.
More than twenty years ago, in her tiny living room in Seattle, the seeds of her personal Yoga practice and studies took root. At every turn and at each stage of her life, she continues to trust this practice and return to her mat. Jen's passionate personal practice walks hand-in-hand with her teaching— and it is her hope that her students will grow to love their own path of Yoga as much as she does hers!
Jen received her 200-Hour RYT Certification from Seattle Yoga Arts in 2018— and is now in the final stretch of completing her 500-Hour Advanced Teacher Certification, there. She continues to be inspired by the profound wisdom of her students, the remarkable teachers at SYA and Two Dog Yoga, and the teachings of Judith Hanson Lasater, Jivana Heyman, Peter Blackaby, Carol Krucoff, and Gabrielle Harris —among others.
She's so incredibly grateful for this joyful, life-long adventure! Her life’s passions include not only Yoga, but also motherhood, partnership, and all things nature, art, poetry, music, film, and theatre. As RuPaul puts it so colorfully, “Life is about using the whole box of crayons.”

I feel blessed to have found a skilled and loving yoga teacher in Jen. She nourishes my mind, my body and most importantly for me, my spirit. Jen's firm foundation in yoga practice and physical alignment instills great confidence as we move through the poses and I appreciate her consistent attention to offering adaptations to address the range of strengths in the class. Although I am 75, I tell others I'd like to be more like Jen when I 'grow up'.
Jen's yoga classes are nurturing and nourishing for both body and soul. Her warmth and enthusiasm make each class feel like a celebration. You will enjoy a gentle flow, breathe easy and smile.

Jen is a calming guide who keeps me both centered and curious to explore the range of possibilities in my yoga practice. She is attuned to how feelings, emotions, the world around us can affect our practice and she adapts to encourage and support with such positivity and caring. Always mindful that each body is different, she offers a variety of options to modify as she gently leads you through an extremely rewarding practice.
